Description

UNIT: “This book tells the story of a boy who, at fifteen, began to create an identity for himself—one that eventually grew more powerful than the one the world had assigned to him. It tells of nights full of adrenaline, of chasing recognition, of friendships that felt like narrow bridges: fragile and risky, yet sometimes the only way forward. It is a story about growing and losing, about searching and finding—and about what remains when the colors fade, the trains have long been scrapped, and the scars run deeper than the cuts on your hands.”

As well as hundreds of images, including some iconic panels and wholecars, this illustrated book features numerous deeply personal texts that reflect profoundly and honestly on the author’s own development. Through a personal narrative, they also reveal the nuances, the human element, the peculiarities of graffiti culture and the structures of our society with its distinctive features and contradictions.

The many personal texts are complemented by further perspectives, including numerous accounts from many companions along the way.
Guest articles: BAKON, CHILL, DAVIS, EBBE, EKSIT, FUME, HEIS, MACE, MESK, MILK, MSER, RAGE, RÄTSEL and TOE
